Millions of people saw a woman's picture on a poster, thinking she was a victim of one of the most notorious killers in Los Angeles. But Eyewitness News spoke exclusively with the mother of two, who talked about her brush with danger with the alleged Grim Speaking at a Guardian Members’ screening of his recent film, director Nick Broomfield talks about why his production techniques remain unchanged and how he feels social media is damaging our ability to tell stories Nick Broomfield, before speaking at a While films like, Tales of the grim sleeper, and The Long Road to the Hall of Fame (Long Road), help to bring out activism within the Los Angeles viewers. At the screening of Long Road, family and friends including Public Enemy’s Chuck D, filled the 25 calibre pistol, he never once caught the attention of police. Lonnie Franklin Jr, the subject of Broomfield's new film, Tales of the grim sleeper. It is the sort of story made for the documentary filmmaker Nick Broomfield. His critics originally saw “It has been four and a half years,” she said. “The Boston Marathon bombing case didn’t take four and a half years to go to trial.” She said she would begin jury selection June 30. Kennedy’s decision came at the end of a dramatic hearing Lonnie Franklin was arrested in 2010 and charged with being a serial killer of women in South Los Angeles. The LAPD got onto him because of relentless reporting in LA Weekly by Christine Peilisek. She left the Weekly a while back but returns to its pages .
